Mission Accomplished

For those of you who didn't know, I had a small cocktail party last night! Marie got a great new job as a cocktail waitress and sheesh--someone certainly had to congratulate her ;) When all was said and done, the white Sangria was the hit of the night! I wish I had some photos to share with ya'll...but as I always say, a lack of photos is almost always a sign of a great night.

  1. 5 Parts sweet white wine (I used Riesling!)
  2. 1 Part Citroen Ketel One (Like Marie's menu told me to!)
  3. As much fresh fruit you're willing to buy and cut up and shove in to make a fruity masterpiece!

I couldn't have asked for a better night...or a better friday morning!!

Enjoy the weekend everybody.

Aud-Ball

Hey everyone...Audrey's tryin out this new hightech mumbo-jumbo (myspace)

Once a slacker, Always a slacker.

Halloween...it's coming fast everybody! As of now, I'm probably going to be one of those guys in an orange jumpsuit that directs airplanes on the runway. Or I may combine a scary mask with that to make it more random (???) Please give me some advice if you're bored!
As for that valuable saturday (the 29th) there's not as much as I expected going on that night. However, there IS a big clubbish event going on at 4th & B... put on by Rubber, the same craziness that did the Pimp n Ho in Vegas. So I'm trying to go to that, it's $40 and nobody I know seems to be brave enough to jump on the bandwagon with me :)
Other than that...I'm trying to find a good time to hit a haunted house! Or maybe even the haunted trail they have in Balboa Park these days. By the way, I'm bored right now and I have so many things to write about I've left out over the past week. As soon as I'm able to organize all these thoughts, ya'll will be the first to hear about it!! Happy week-before-Halloween.

Long Beach Comes Through!

It's been a busy week everybody!!! I feel like such a slacker because I promised to tell all the gory details about v2o :)

v2o is a great club in Long Beach, and lucky for me my good friend Chris Leight is part owner! He was gracious enough to take me up there last weekend, along with a few other devoted partiers. I was very impressed with the place, and now I will divulge a few details...
1) Just like Jon said, it was 100% asian crowd...I guess this kind of place just grabs that demographic or something.
2) I would compare it to On Broadway...all spaced out onto one floor! With no walls anywhere, providing the ability to see from room to room to room to room.
3) There were basically two dancefloors, each playing the exact same metiocre hip-hop (???)
4) We were treated like royalty, and bottomline: I highly recommend the filet mignon quesadilla :)

We took a few photos of us being happy in the VIP...but they don't do the club justice so I left them out of this post! Click on my flickr photostream thing over on the right side of the page about halfway down to see em. Hope you all come along with us next time we make the journey up there! I'll be going again.

Ari Versus Lady Luck

Ari said he'd be interested in going to Las Vegas for his birthday next month. First of all, I'll just assume most people reading this don't realize how cool this is. Secondly, you'll just have to take my word that this is really cool.
Standby for news relating to this adventure of biblical proportions :)
