Ode to Fooz

Diminutive players of plastic,
Gliding and moving with grace...

Civility, manners, courtesy...
(Pummeled.) Gone without a trace.

And to the winner goes all the spoils
And to the loser: a broken face.

...Foozball is the final equalizer.

Euro Search Engine?

Looks like a group of huge companies is going to try & give Google a run for their money. This new hi-tech search engine will supposedly even be able to "translate" audio in different languages. We'll see.......

Funny George W Bush Joke

The President is working hard in his office...and all of a sudden one of his closest advisors busts in & announces, "Mr. President--something terrible has happened. There's been a revolution."

"My God...where?", responded Bush. "In South America, sir. We don't know many details...we only know that at least three Brazilian soldiers are dead."

President bush was overcome with the bad news, and he buried his head in his hands. The advisor noticed his reaction...and tried to comfort the President. But time passed....and President Bush seemed to be unexplainably stricken with grief. After 5 minutes had passed, the advisor was more concerned, and delicately asked, "What's wrong, Mr President?"

President Bush tried to temporarily regain his composure, and with a defeated voice he asked, "Alright....just--I need to know...exactly how many is a Brazilian?"

Fun with Architecture

So many big cities here in the states...with so few examples of really awesome buildings. Looks like China is the place to go to see all the cutting edge design. And they're not just beautiful either; Most of them use renewable energy sources like rain water collection and/or solar power!

More great lyrics

The days roll by like thunder
Like a storm that's never breaking,
All my time and space compressed
In the low pressure of proceedings,
And they beat against the sides of my life
Like fists against the sides of my life,
And the roads all lay behind me,
So I wrap the wheel around me
And I go out.

Hello two thousand six

NYE at the Onyx room went very very very well :) Lots of people but not overcrowded; New friends with a few old favorites! I hope all of you did something FUN for new years...I almost didn't go out. My vacation days for christmas combined with this three day weekend have made this a leisurely holiday season...I feel like I've gotten plenty of R&R and maybe I'm even ready to go back to work tomorrow!!

Today's random thought: Would it be too ridiculous to throw a huge party celebrating Martin Luther King Day? (It's comin up on Jan 16th) Posted by Picasa
