Goodbye Two Thousand Five

Christmas was great...I came home with plenty of good loot & a few good photos so ya'll can see what my home up north looks like :)
I also had the chance to go to the
De Young museum. The architect & construction spent hundreds of millions of dollars to clad the entire building with perforated copper! Sounds crazy, but it's definitely one of the most beautiful buildings I've been to in years.
P.S. There are still lots of competing ideas for NYE...if anyone has any guidance please step in :)

K I N G K O N G

Probably the best movie I've seen this year. It exceeded my expectations in every way...I'm very disappointed the TV trailers don't do it justice at all. Anyway...go see it!!! Although it's a solid 3 hours and if you're any kind of animal lover you will definitely cry at the end.

The Workday

I thought I'd write a small blog about my job...since I've never really talked about it on here & I know lots of people close to me wonder about it all the time :)
For the last year, my coworkers & I have been working hard to achieve a CMMI Level 5 certification. What does CMMI stand for? Capability Maturity Model Integration. What does it mean? Trust me, you don't care. Anyway...we finally finished everything yesterday & now all 6 people on my team are without a purpose. So they all went home :( All the new exciting work will be kept away from us until late January, so don't be surprised if you read a few more blogs like this one! I guess I'll be going home soon and I should be happy about it...especially since it's friday. I just feel like I've lost my steam that I'll need for this weekend!! If anyone has any bright ideas on how I should use the remainder of today...please let me know :)
I'm gonna go try to track down Ari & meet him for lunch now. Wish me luck.

Cooler than the Lion King?

Friday night I saw the Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe. I might have read part of the book...or even all of it--either way, I don't remember :) But I would say that the movie was sort of a Lord of the Rings (for kids!) Not much character development, with some juvenile comic relief...etc. Other than that stuff though, the special effects were way above average and it was fun to see a good fantasy flick that's a bit different. I don't know if I'd see it again, but I definitely recommend it!! Click the picture to see the movie's homepage!!

I've talked to just about everyone and we all seem to be in a state of complete confusion about what's happening for New Year's Eve. Any ideas? I'm hopelessly confused...

Good ol' Will...

For aught that I could ever read,
Could ever hear by tale or history,
The course of true love never did run smooth.

--William Shakespeare (1564 - 1616), "A Midsummer Night's Dream", Act 1 scene 1
