Music Review 2005

Well I've been listening to an unusual amount of music today so I figured I should document all of the valuable songs I discovered (or rediscovered) in the last months!! I'll try to put them in order of importance...but hey, you know it's difficult cuz of the vast variety :)

Mad World -- Michael Andrews / Donnie Darko Soundtrack
Say Hello (Angello & Ingrosso Remix) -- Deep Dish
Dragostea Din Tei -- O-Zone
Wicked Game -- Hilton FM feat. Miss Caludia
Dare -- Gorillaz
It Takes Two -- Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock
Hear My Name -- Armand Van Helden
The World is Mine (Deep Dish Remix) -- David Guetta
Believe -- The Chemical Brothers
Holographic Universe -- Thievery Corporation
Laffy Taffy -- D4L
White Flag (Scumfrog Remix) -- Dido
L-O-V-E -- Nat King Cole
When the Lights Go Down -- Armand Van Helden
My Humps -- Black Eyed Peas
Gimme That -- The Resource featuring Jimmy Napes
Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough -- Michael Jackson
For You -- Manfred Mann’s Earth Band & The Disco Boys
Enjoy the Silence (Timo Maas Remix) -- Depeche Mode

By the way...Tony Estrada is a cool DJ out of New Orleans. All of his mixes are available for FREE at his nonprofit website http://www.tony-estrada.com There's a bunch on there (Under 'Mixes' on the left side).. he changes em once in a while so I can't tellya which ones are the best. If you can get your hands on the one called "October Part 2" it's one of the best continuous mixes I've ever heard :) Happy listening!!!

It was just pointed out to me that it might have been too long since I've eaten pizza. I intend to do something about it today...standby for details.

Sleepless in San Diego

MOOD: Hopeful
SKY: Foggy
Temperature: Kinda Cold

Tomorrow's only tuesday?? Well, today is only tuesday I guess I should say. Nothing planned for almost the whole week...except for my first opportunity to check out Marie's Dussini on thursday! I suppose I've put off reading long enough--especially since I went out of my way to buy that special book I heard about (The City of Falling Angels). PLUS I haven't been to the gym in a month of sundays...so that's on the table for tomorrow.
Looks like a few of the important people are out of the picture for this weekend, so hopefully a few surprises will pop-up ;O\ Write back and let me know what all you slackers have planned!!

Departure!!!!!

Off to Ari's bday extravaganza!!! I feel like I've been to Vegas too many times this year....and I'm probably 100% right :) Well anyway, I'm back to full health and I'm definitely ready to rock n roll. Tonight it's just me and Chris in Sin City. Tomorrow is the crazy one...Ari, Jon, and Keven all show up at once. It will be a hurricane of beer, shots, poker chips, stupid jokes, and hopefully photographs too :)

The Ninth Plague

I'm still very sick everybody. I'm convinced that Marie's soup and my razzberry emergenC stuff are the only two things keeping me alive. The doctor gave me antibiotics but they're hella not working.
:OP
Say a prayer for me! ..Or something.

Another Good Quote

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite. - Paul Dirac

A little sick, alotta fun!

From friday night until now it has been a whirlwind of wine, realtors, mangos, candy, movies, and pizza. I thought I could pull it off but Iobviously fell a little bit short...because I let myself get sick! Luckily, I think it's already wearing off and I should be ready for a full week of boring job-stuff tomorrow. I better be...cuz next weekend it's off to Vegas!

Friday Approaching Fast

It's been a long week....and this afternoon it seems to be getting longer :) I'm already thinking about tomorrow's festivities and as always ya'll should try to help me out! JBar is on my mind, and so are the good ol' days of hanging with Jon and drinking expensive things under neon-lit palm trees. Then again, Candelas is a place I'm hardly familar with...and I'm sure there's plenty of other places I'm leaving out.

Anyone feel like partying a bit tomorrow night? One more day of work for me to get through...but then it'll be just one nap before it's go-time!!!!!

Crazy Word of the Day

alpenglow \AL-puhn-gloh\, noun: A reddish glow seen near sunset or sunrise on the summits of mountains.

  • In the soft alpenglow, we watch copper turn pink on the peaks above. --Brian Payton, "A river of dreams," Boston Globe, July 25, 1999
