Trick of the year!

Dude, Garrett's gf Heather taught me that if you put "CoolWhip FREE" in the freezer, it comes out tasting like the best ice cream, and it's only 15 calories per serving, with zero of everything. I think I'm just gonna sit around and eat this stuff all day. Maybe call into work sick...and just sit around and eat it all day.

Alot of messups this weekend...but hey, it was mostly laid back and I got to see some people that haven't been around for a while. By the way...that excited, loud, little hand stickin out on the right-hand side...well, that's Stacey (Joe's Stacey) for ya'll that thought it was just terrible she got cut out.
Looks like nothin is really happenin for Valentine's day afterall...but by tomorrow night, I suspect us singles will be looking at the world through cold, blue-colored glasses. So maybe somethin will come together afterall :OP

So I went to the food court on my lunch hour...and there were performers and one of those cool dragons. To celebrate the Chinese New Year! I'm year of the rooster...which happens to be this new year!!!

He's just so silly

Well I had another provocative lunch with the famous RJ (one of my co-workers). He's an innocent dreamer who researches all of the latest hot topics--usually conspiracy theories and grotesque dieting techniques. I thought I'd include a little snippet of today's lunch conversation below...to the best of my memory:

(Upon entry into Jamba Juice, for lunch)
John: So, you're gettin one of those Wheatgrass Shots, huh? wheewy!
RJ: (Chuckling) Yep, every time!
John: I hear they're supposed to be great for you, but man...those things will take the paint off your car!
RJ: Ha, yep!
John: They'll cure Cancer, too!
RJ: Is that right?
John: Sure!
RJ: Ya know....I heard they already have a cure for Cancer.
John: Oh yeah? Just don't wanna give it to us, eh?
RJ: That's right, I heard it actually was pretty easy.
John: Ah, how bout that. (Orders lunch)

Woke up early again...brought in some Krispy Kremes to prove how happy I am about it being Friday at last! Can't take full credit though....Carlos & Vince here in the cubes threw in some cash to get these tasty, rounded, sugary pieces of heaven.

Blast from the Past

Brandi and Rachel came by for dinner tonight!! These two beautiful ladies were my great neighbors, way back in the day--freshman year at State. They didn't have time for a movie tonight, that means I still gotta get rid of these Netflix I have layin around:

• Manchurian Candidate (The new re-make)

Which one should I watch? Ya'll better hurry up & tell me... before I make a rash decision.

February is on the table

Not much to say about today...but should I have some sort of thing for Valentine's Day? Hopefully. So far, I've found a few cocktail recipes that sound intriguing. Let me know what your favs are...or go search for some and post a few if you're really considerate :)

• Lovers' Nocturne Into a shaker two thirds filled with ice, add a large (double measure) shot of vodka, and half again of Drambuie. Add a dash of Angostura, and shake well. Strain into a Martini glass, and sip suggestively...
• Fievre Jaune Into a shaker two thirds full with ice, add a large shot of cognac and the pulp of one passion fruit. Shake, and strain into a champagne glass. Top up with champagne, watching out for the bubbles as it's liable to fizz up!
• Polish Kiwi Crush In an empty shaker muddle (i.e.- mash up) a skinned kiwi fruit, a dash of sugar syrup and the juice of half a lime. Add a large shot of vodka (preferably peach flavoured), half a shot of Midori (a Japanese melon liqueur) and a handful of ice. Shake, and strain into a highball glass filled with semi-crushed ice.
• Angel's Tit Into a large shot glass pour a dash of Maraschino. Fill the glass up with a mixture of crème de cacao and single cream. Float a Maraschino cherry on top. Drink in as filthy a manner as possible.
• Pink Squirrel Into a shaker half full of ice add a single shot of Frangelico (a nut and berry flavoured liqueur), a single shot of crème de cacao, and a single shot of single cream. Shake vigorously, and strain into a Martini glass.

By the way, the photo above is the Aphrodisiac, served at Sutra in NYC. It's a Rose Martini. "Vodka, rose liquor, cranberry juice and cointreau garnished with fresh rose petals. We don't recommend ordering a dozen. " -- from Valentine's Day in NYC
